From Lived Experience to Community Support

Mental Monkeez began with a simple but meaningful vision: to build a brand around myself and my dog, with the purpose of supporting mental health through hands-on, creative and purposeful projects.

The aim was to use practical activities as a positive focus to help improve confidence, routine and mental wellbeing.

Over time, that vision grew into something more. Friends began approaching me for help when they were struggling to feed their pets, and even during times when I was struggling myself, I would do what I could to support them. I understood first-hand how important pets are, not only as companions, but as a source of comfort, routine and emotional support during difficult times.

This experience made me realise that there was a real need for accessible pet food support within the community, especially for people facing financial hardship, emotional stress or mental health challenges.

That is how the Mental Monkeez Petfood Association began.
